They should focus on exploring lower tier markets, especially county and township markets, to meet the needs of large and diverse grassroots communities, and improve the quality of people's livelihoods. Play a crucial role in effective investment, mobilize social forces to actively participate, and plan and implement a number of major projects and livelihood projects.

  The General Office of the State Council: issued opinions on preventing the "non grainification" of cultivated land and stabilizing grain production, requiring us to adhere to ensuring national food security as the primary task of "agriculture, rural areas, and farmers" work; Adhere to the scientific and rational utilization of arable land resources; Persist in jointly shouldering the responsibility of ensuring national food security. Clarify the priority order of farmland utilization, implement special protection and use control on farmland, and strictly control the conversion of farmland into other types of agricultural land such as forests and gardens.

  The National Development and Reform Commission: In the first three quarters of this year, the total import and export volume between China and countries along the Belt and Road was 963.42 billion US dollars. Although it decreased by 1% year-on-year, the growth rate was 0.8 percentage points higher than the overall national level; The non-financial direct investment in countries along the route reached 13.02 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 29.7%, which is 32.3 percentage points higher than the overall national growth rate.   Ministry of Commerce: Last week (November 9-15), the national market prices of edible agricultural products remained unchanged from the previous week, while the market prices of means of production increased by 0.8% compared to the previous week. Market for edible agricultural products: Grain and oil prices remained stable with a slight increase, with wholesale prices of rice remaining unchanged from the previous week. Wholesale prices of soybean oil, rapeseed oil, peanut oil, and flour increased by 0.8%, 0.5%, 0.3%, and 0.2%, respectively.

  US Department of Agriculture: In the week ending November 10th, the price of Vietnamese long grain rice with a crushing rate of 5% was $505 per ton, an increase of $40 from the week ending October 6th. At present, the price of Vietnamese rice is much higher than that of Thai rice.

  Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan: In the first four months of the 2020-2021 sales year (July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021), Kazakhstan completed a total of 2.734 million tons of grain exports, a year-on-year increase of 4%.   Ren Zhi emphasized that in the current context, controlling food sources, maintaining supply and stabilizing prices, and effectively implementing the central food security strategy is an important responsibility of governments at all levels. Kunshan, Suzhou and Nanjing, as the bridgehead of the Yangtze River Delta region, it is of great significance to realize the high-quality development of the grain industry, to take the road of branding development, relying on the local and neighboring markets, and actively cultivate advantageous leading enterprises.

  Regarding the work of the association, during the discussion and exchange with the Jiangsu Provincial Grain Industry Association, Ren Zhi said that under the new situation, the association should adhere to the people-oriented work, deepen the service, timely grasp of the enterprise's demands, the industry's needs, and do a good job of bridging the gap between the government and the enterprise, and put the central government's measures for promoting the high-quality development of the grain industry into practice.
